On 23 November 2018, the delegation of Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce, led by its China Committee Chairman, Mrs. Petrina Tam, visited Goldpac. The 41-member delegation consisted of elite members of industry in science and technology, finance, aviation, logistics, accountants, lawyers and other professions, as well as government representatives. The objective was to engage in dialogue and discuss the promotion and development of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Bay area and speed up the further integration between Hong Kong and Zhuhai.

Mr. LU Run Ting, Chairman of Goldpac, briefed the delegation on Goldpac’s 25-year history and its achievements in the core technological areas of security encryption and authentication, and introduced the Zhuhai Fintech Center, which is currently under construction. The Zhuhai Fintech Center is approved by the Zhuhai municipal government and is commissioned by Goldpac. It will become a catchment area for Fintech innovation in Zhuhai City and along the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Bay area, focus on the scientific and technological innovation, data security, and privacy protection and influence the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay area by gathering innovative ideas, enterprises, funds, projects and talent, and form a foundation for collaborative and integrated development for breakthroughs in the fields of artificial intelligence, smart payments, chips, Internet of Things, cloud computing amongst others.

The members of the delegation expressed their appreciation for the achievements made by Goldpac, and concurred with the concept advocated by Goldpac to promote the integrated development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Bay area. They expected to open up and deepen the development cooperation between Zhuhai and Goldpac on a wide range of fields, such as the merging of the social security system, transportation, intelligent business and travel, and to contribute to the cross-border integration of the smart city system in the Bay area.
